Adobe AIR on MacBook Pro Snow Leopard

I messed with this for about 3 hours today and hopefully this post helps someone. I was unable to install air cleanly. It would install fine but then at the very end, it would error and say something misc. happened. When I tried to re-install, it said it was already installed. I went through several step-by-step guides which didn't end up working. After much searching, I cam across this post which helped me a lot:

Basically, he contacted Adobe and eventually got an apple script which he ran and it fixed the problem. I gotta say I was really worried about this but I got into it and it was basically just setting permissions on folders and stuff. Here's the file:
